Texas City is located along the Upper Texas Gulf Coast in Galveston County. Texas City covers 122 square miles and has an elevation of 12 feet. It is the 11th largest seaport in the United States. Texas City has a large financial base with total deposits of over $600,000,000. Retail sales for Texas City are approximately $350,000,000 annually.

Texas City is fortunate to have a diversified economy. Heavy industry, commercial, retail, marine, entertainment, environmental and residential developments, higher education, tourism, health care, sports, and transportation.

Texas City has been voted as One of the Top 10 Places to Live in Texas.  The quality of the schools, the availability of jobs, and the close proximity to water recreation all contribute to the quality of life.  It also has one of the lowest property tax rates in the area.
